Asterisk helped the beloved local cultural treasure, Austin PBS, make themselves at home in their brand new office and production space in a project that spanned the pandemic and endured a major site flood just days before occupancy. The organization’s move to a new location, after 50 years in their previous space, coincided with the national PBS brand refresh. This serendipitous timing gave Asterisk the freedom to define solutions unique to the local station (originators and stewards of the famed Austin City Limits show and brand) while creating a benchmark space for the parent PBS organization.

Branded Environments, Thursday, October 13, returns by popular demand for the sixth year. In just four weeks from now, join us at the Museum of the Moving Image in Astoria, Queens, to start a two-event exploration into the "art of storytelling." Speakers at BE will explore the inception and evolution of brand storytelling, what we can learn from places like Las Vegas, and how branded experiences can positively impact Culture. Xlab, on October 14, will look to the horizon at emerging technologies and the platforms fueling new narrative-driven experiences from AR to VR and Web 3.
