Five Minutes with Nick Bannikoff and Carlo Giannasca

Nick Bannikoff and Carlo Giannasca recently spoke to InDesignLive.com about why they’re on a mission to build a strong community of experiential designers in Australia. Earlier this year, Nick Bannikoff, design manager at BrandCulture and Carlo Giannasca, head of environments at Urbanite announced they were bringing SEGD to Sydney through their local chapter. They chatted candidly about the rise of experiential graphic design and how the blending of graphics, wayfinding and interior design can make for better branded spaces.

Bluemedia Builds Super Bowl Sleepover 4-D Virtual Reality Dome

Courtyard by Marriott, is the host of the "Super Bowl Sleepover Contest" that will award one winner and a guest with a sleepover in a converted, field-level suite at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minnesota the night before Super Bowl LII in February 2018. To help transform the stadium suite into a near-perfect replica of a Courtyard by Marriott hotel room, IMG LIVE brought in bluemedia to build buzz around the brand by creating a 4-D virtual reality dome in the middle of New York.

On his recent trip to Beijing, David Vanden Eynden of CVEDesign reconnected with Linda Bai; they originally met at a meetup for designers from Beijing and Nanjing, arranged by SEGD CEO Clive Roux. Linda Bai’s firm Only Design specializes in branding, packaging and retail environments.
