Pentagram (New York and worldwide) Partner Harry Pearce and his team collaborated with poet Alice Oswald and fabrication specialists Millimetre to install a poetry path in the form of 160 meters of steel typography in Kew Bridge West (London), a new property on the original site of the Grand Junction Waterworks.

Alexander Isley (West Redding, Ct.), in ongoing work with Goodwill, made their first annual report with the organization a narrative experience, with the progressive unfolding of pages revealing new information. The report presents all the required content: a welcoming letter, overview of mission, success stories, and financial information, all presented as part of a story line. And it ends, as these things should, with “A big thank you” to the year's contributors.

Carbone Smolan Agency (New York) partnered with the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County to bring the graphic personality of the museum to the third dimension, which is now fully realized. CSA’s initial charge—to develop a wayfinding and graphics system—needed to lead visitors through the museum—both during construction and after—while complementing diverse architectural conditions.

Gemini awarded a Gold Incident Rate Excellence Award

Gemini (Cannon Falls, Minn.) was recently awarded a Gold Incident Rate Excellence Award from the Iowa-Illinois Safety Council, recognizing outstanding achievement in accident prevention at its Decorah, Iowa, manufacturing facility during 2012.

The Iowa facility manufacturers some of Gemini’s most popular products, including dimensional letters, logos and plaques for the sign and recognition industries.

Harbinger (Jacksonville, Fla.) kicked off a rebranding effort for the Jacksonville Jaguars, which recently unveiled a new logo. The firm created new logo signage for the team’s locker room, transforming the new design into signage with front and back illumination and an acrylic push-through face, resulting in a 3-D look.

Lee. H. Skolnick Architecture + Design Partnership

Lee H. Skolnick Architecture + Design Partnership (New York) announced that the home of artists Eric Fischl and April Gornik, designed by Lee Skolnick, was recently featured in an issue of Hamptons Cottages & Gardens Magazine, where author Raul Barreneche hailed the creation as "a harmonious blend of architecture and the surrounding landscape, where nature is never out of reach."

Square Peg Design (Oakland, Calif.) was retained by Walt Disney Imagineering to develop the thematic visual layer for their latest family resort in Disney World, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. The firm worked very closely with Disney Imagineering and Pixar to bring the graphic imagery of Cars, Nemo, The Little Mermaid, and The Lion King to life in the resort environment.
