Throughout his career, Simon Borg has worked for several multi-disciplinary creative agencies with experiential graphic design being the constant thread through these moves. He has lived and worked in both Melbourne and London, where he developed interpretive and wayfinding programs for cultural and entertainment venues in Australia through to branded environments and naming rights activation programs for stadia and arena in Europe and the Middle East.
Simon Borg is the Creative Director (Associate Principal) at Populous Activate, a specialist brand activation and user focused experience design agency working within the sports and entertainment sector, based in London.
Since its inception in 2004 the Populous Activate service has grown consistently delivering a range of major projects like the brand activation of London’s O2 arena and the London 2012 Olympics multi-venue wayfinding project.
Simon Borg continues to grow Populous Activate in London. Populous Activate specializes in connecting brands to sporting and entertainment venues and fans, delivering commercial value through innovative design.
In 2013 Populous Activate was ranked as one of the Design Week Top 100 UK design agencies.
Simon Borg is currently developing brand activation and fan engagement programs for the English Premier League, Olympique Lyonnais Football Club and IMG for Populous Activate.
