Cook County Forest Preserves Interpretive Trails

This project was commissioned by the Cook County Forest Preserves in Cook County, Illinois for Killdeer Wetlands Forest Preserve and Deer Grove East Forest Preserve—an ecologically diverse group of open spaces in one of the most densely populated counties in the United States—aiming to commemorate the preserves’ centennial and help the region envision alternative possibilities for the future.

The Sea Ranch: Architecture, Environment, and Idealism

Conceived by a small group of Bay Area architects and designers in the early 1960s, The Sea Ranch development was envisioned as a progressive inclusive community, guided by the idealistic principles of good design, economy of space, and harmony with the natural environment. The Sea Ranch: Architecture, Environment, and Idealism illuminates these ideals through a wide array of drawings, photographs, models, and an ambitious 1:1 scale reproduction of Unit 9 from the first condominium constructed on the site.

Seeing by Touch - Inclusive Exhibition

Seeing by Touch is one of the few exhibitions where you can touch everything—all 120 artworks of visually impaired students, 26 classic sculptures and one spatial installation!

The inclusive temporary exhibition is designed in such a way that visitors can tactilely experience the artworks of visually impaired students. The exhibition is completely adapted to blind and sight-impaired persons, and because of the extremely low budget all the production materials were recycled from previous museum exhibitions.

The Oregon Youth Authority is a correctional agency that has taken a significant departure from the status quo by working to transform the lives of incarcerated youth every day. The goal for the new East Campus Cottages at MacLaren Youth Correctional Facility was to embody a new program for how the most dangerous incarcerated youth in Oregon should live, learn, and heal from trauma.

For McDonald’s executives, employees and visitors alike, the MHQ is now an immersion into an ambitious, globally minded company with a bold vision for a sustainable future, a constant appetite for high-caliber talent, and daily commitments to educational, charitable and social causes.

Te Hauāuru Reserve — Westgate Town Park

Te Hauāuru Reserve, Westgate Town Park, is a recreational area for the growing township of Westgate designed to serve a growing residential community in Auckland, New Zealand. It connects people to place through layers of storytelling embedded into the form of the park.

This integrated green space has been developed in collaboration with local iwi (tribe) and takes its visual cues from the site’s location within the network of upper Waitematā (Auckland Harbour) inlets, streams, and the history of the kauri (native tree) forests that once covered the area.

The 2020 U.S. Census is of critical importance to New York City, particularly given the threat of an undercount among minority and undocumented populations. The Museum of the City of New York invited Isometric to create exhibition architecture and graphic design to present the work of leading contemporary artists and designers as part of an interactive, immersive, and inspiring experience.

The design team viewed the new International Dairy Queen headquarters as an opportunity to tell the story of the IDQ brand through artfully integrated design and brand elements that create a unique experience. These design elements are refined and sophisticated yet maintain a quirky edge, an aesthetic coined by the design team as “sophisti-kitsch.”
