2024 SEGD Xlab: Exploring the Future of Technology-Infused Storytelling

SEGD’s Xlab returns for its fourteenth year as the premier event dedicated to the intersection of experiential design and technology-driven storytelling for place. On Thursday November 7, 2024, Xlab will convene leading minds and innovative practices at the forefront of experience design. Attendees will dive deep into the cutting-edge developments in digital media, immersive and interactive environments, and the evolving landscape of cultural and consumer experiences. Join us for this unparalleled exploration of how technology is shaping the future of storytelling in our built environments.


SEGD Xlab is offering tours at five Brooklyn Navy Yard studios. Below are details and descriptions for each tour. Registration is required to attend. Transportation to and from the tours is on your own.


SEGD does not have an official room block for Xlab, but our venue, SVA Theatre, has provided a list of nearby hotels. We recommend Aloft New York Chelsea, Cambria New York Chelsea or Hyatt Place New York Chelsea. That said, since it’s New York, you may already have a favorite spot to stay, and there are plenty of options in the area!
