Experiential Design in the San Francisco Region

Chapter

Known as “The City by the Bay,” San Francisco is a hub of creativity, blending innovation, culture, and history. From the iconic Golden Gate Bridge to the dynamic downtown tech scene, the city offers an inspiring backdrop for experiential design. Our members contribute to projects that enhance public spaces, cultural landmarks, and commercial environments.

Notable member projects include Virtual Depictions: San Francisco, a public art installation by Refik Anadol, which transforms data into an immersive digital experience at 350 Mission Street. Another key project is the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art’s “Chronicles of San Francisco”, an interactive art installation that celebrates the city’s diversity through cutting-edge technology​. Additionally, the San Francisco International Airport Wayfinding Program exemplifies excellence in design, helping millions of travelers navigate the airport with ease.
