The 2026 SEGD Global Design Awards Entry Portal Is Now Open

The entry portal for the 2026 SEGD Global Design Awards is now open. Established in 1987 as the first program to honor excellence in environmental graphic and experiential design worldwide, the SEGD Global Design Awards celebrate projects that connect people to place through clarity of vision, innovation, and impact—recognizing outstanding work that continues to shape the global field of experiential design.

Building on a strong 2025 program marked by robust international participation, the 2026 Awards continue to reflect the expanding global reach of experiential design. From cultural and civic spaces to branded environments, public installations, and digital experiences, the Awards recognize work that advances the field through thoughtful, meaningful design.

Winning projects receive year-round visibility across SEGD.org, newsletters, social media, press features, and the SEGD Awards Annual, reaching designers, clients, and students worldwide.

2026 Jury Chair: Abigail Honor, Lorem Ipsum Corp.

SEGD is proud to announce Abigail Honor, founding partner of Lorem Ipsum Corp., as Jury Chair for the 2026 SEGD Global Design Awards.

An internationally recognized creative director and curator, Abigail brings a rigorous, narrative-driven approach to experience design—balancing conceptual clarity, cultural relevance, and craft. Her work spans museums, exhibitions, branded environments, and emerging media, and has been recognized with honors including European Museum of the Year, Gold German Design Award, the SEGD Global Design Awards, and Blooloop’s Top 50 Immersive Influencers.

As Jury Chair, Abigail will lead a multidisciplinary jury representing a diversity of design disciplines through a thoughtful, anonymous review process. Projects will be evaluated on their effectiveness in connecting people to place, creating unique and memorable user experiences, and solving client objectives and design challenges.

Reflecting on the role of experiential design today, Abigail notes that the most impactful work goes beyond surface engagement—focusing instead on how people emotionally and meaningfully experience space. She looks forward to seeing how designers worldwide continue to push the discipline forward through work that resonates on a deeply human level.

From this process, the jury will select Honor and Merit Awards across categories, as well as one Best of Show, the Sylvia Harris Award for Social Impact, and the Life Centered Design Award for Sustainability Impact.
