Daktronics (Brookings, S.D.) has partnered with Central Michigan University to design, manufacture and install a new video and audio system at Kelly/Shorts Stadium in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. The project is set to be completed this summer and will be fully operational for the 2019 football season.

Watchfire Signs, a manufacturer of  LED virtual scoreboards and video boards, announced the creation of a scholarship designed to recognize high school students who develop content for Watchfire video scoreboards or displays on campus. The "Fired Up Watchfire Scholarship" will provide $500 in financial assistance to a graduating high school senior who demonstrates excellence in the creation and use of content on a Watchfire sports display during a live event.

The year is 1930 and Knute Rockne, legendary coach and pioneer of modern football, oversees the construction of the University of Notre Dame’s Football Stadium in just 160 days. “The House that Rockne Built” would go on to see the storied program achieve 11 National Championships. Eighty-five years later, with only one significant renovation, Notre Dame wanted to complete a major stadium experiential design enhancement.
