His architectural and engineering education, early involvement in fabrication and implementation, roles in design and project management, and his most recent positions directing the environmental graphics division of a global professional services corporation, have provided broad insight and expertise.

Jim Alderman is a senior designer in Gresham, Smith and Partners' Environmental Graphics Design group. With more than 25 years of experience in the planning, design, and implementation of branding, wayfinding, and environmental graphics programs, Jim Alderman has served a broad range of client types including public and educational facilities, airports, sports venues, healthcare facilities, retail environments, and corporate offices.

Kate Keating, a retired San Francisco-based designer, is known as a pioneer in the environmental graphic design community and has contributed to the success of many award-winning, community-oriented projects over the past 20 years. Additionally, Kate is credited with the development of Universal Wayfinding, a system that provides clear and legible wayfinding in healthcare settings for people with Limited English Proficiency.
