Teresa Cox

2015 SEGD Distinguished Member, Teresa Cox was a board member of SEGD from 2010 - 2012.

Responsible for US sales of interior and exterior sign systems, directories, displays and related products at APCO Graphics (previously APCO Sign Systems). Teresa has been with APCO Graphics since 1982 and in her role as President, she leads a team of 21 salespeople, located throughout the US.

Michael Summers

Michael Summers is an environmental graphic designer with Gresham Smith and Partners, Nashville. Prior to joining Gresham Smith in 2008, he ran his own graphic design and illustration studio for more than 11 years. He also worked for 8 years as a senior graphic designer for hotel, resort, entertainment, and media company Gaylord Entertainment.

Gilles Bienvenu

Gilles Bienvenu, a French Canadian designer, worked for several major visual communications firms based in Montreal before starting up is own design firm in May 2000. He has been involved in many large-scale visual identity projects, such as Bell Canada, Sergaz Petroleum Co., Agence métropolitaine de transport, STM (Montreal Transit Authority), CBC / Radio-Canada and Hydro-Québec. During his career, he applied his design skills to a variety of prestigious projects where he was leading the design teams.

Tom Esch, senior civil engineer at Norman Y. Mineta San Jose International Airport, was recognized for his innovative work in developing SEGD's Airport and Transportation Workshop; encouraging collaboration among EGD firms, fabricators, manufacturers, and airport executives; and organizing the Airport Sign Managers Network to promote best practices in airport wayfinding systems.

Hanley Bloom

1990 Angel Award honoree

Hanley Bloom, the co-founder of ASI Sign Systems (with his twin-brother Stanley) died March 15, 2011 at age 75. Most recently the VP of sales for Neiman & Co., Hanley was the inaugural recipient of the Society for Environmental Graphics Design’s (SEGD) Angel Award. He also served as the principal author of A Guide to Building Signage in California, which was written to guide environmental-graphic designers through complex sign codes.
