Mia Azar

Mia Azar is a lecturer at the American University of Beirut’s Architecture and Design Department, where she has taught various practical and visual design courses to undergraduate students since 2013. In 2010, she joined PenguinCube, an award-winning design consultancy in Beirut with projects ranging from brand design to product design, with a core expertise in wayfinding and signage.

Signature Design

Signature Design is a unique collaborative of planners, designers, writers, content developers, architects, model-makers, illustrators, and animators who seek to create a captivating experience for visitors to natural and cultural sites through the practice of interpretive planning and design. Kim Urbain

Kim Urbain is principal of Urbain Design, a design consultancy based in San Francisco that specializes in environmental graphics, branding programs and marketing and editorial print materials. The work is distinguished by its clarity, simplicity and creativity.

Prior to starting Urbain Design 25 years ago, Kim worked as a senior designer and project manager at Broom & Broom, specializing in annual reports, corporate collateral and packaging.

Anthony Deen

Anthony is the creative director and partner of Place+Make/Place+Code, an integrated, environmental design practice. He is a multi-disciplinary designer, educator and writer with over 25-years experience in creating and building innovative environments ranging from public parks to corporate offices to specialty retail stores. Anthony’s focus is on developing sustainable and resilient environments. Recent projects include Central Park, Valley Medical Center and the World Trade Center.

Richard Simón

Grace Heraty

Grace Heraty is a designer and project manager at Masterwork Plaques, a specialty plaque-making studio located in Brooklyn, NY.  Grace graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting, and has since pursued a career in the creative field of art and design.
