Penn South is a large-scale residential complex located on ten square blocks in Manhattan's Chelsea district. Originally constructed in the 1950s, the complex underwent major building and landscape renovations in 2002. While improvements were made to infrastructure, sidewalks, landscaping, and lighting, the owners recognized the need for a new wayfinding program to help residents and visitors navigate this urban campus. Responding to the client's request, Poulin + Morris designed a comprehensive sign program unifying all of the various structures and outdoor common spaces.
Scandinavia House is the new permanent home for the American-Scandinavian Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting an educational and cultural exchange between the United States and Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden. Their Park Avenue building also houses a children's learning center, gallery, café, gift stop, and administrative offices.
The Holland Performing Arts Center, designed by Polshek Partnership Architects in association with HDR Architecture, is the physical embodiment of Omaha's commitment of and passion for musical arts, attracting audiences from the immediate community and the region. Its architecture reinforces civic pride, enhances the downtown area, and further distinguishes Omaha's rich architectural culture.
S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications Donor Recognition and Environmental Graphics
Newhouse III is the 74,000-sq.-ft. addition to the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communication at Syracuse University. The original building, designed by I.M. Pei, was completed in 1964 and the second building was completed in 1974. The addition allows the school to expand its education and research missions with a new facility focused on interdisciplinary study.
Poulin + Morris (New York) recently completed two projects for the new NPR headquarters and production studios in Washington, D.C. They developed a comprehensive environmental graphics, donor recognition, and wayfinding sign program for the new facility.

Richard Poulin's long-awaited Graphic Design + Architecture, A 20th-Century History examines the often overlooked union of graphic design and the built environment in the context of artistic, social, and cultural movements and influences of the 20th century. Released in November 2012, Graphic Design + Architecture is the first publication of its kind to provide a detailed historical overview of the pairing of these two disciplines.
