White Design Studio (Cincinnati) created environmental graphics and branding elements for the University of Phoenix’s flagship campus in Phoenix. Asked to integrate a VIP tour into the new student center, the White Design team designed graphics to make the space reflective of the university’s image and brand.
Edwin L. Hofmann is associate vice president of design at Limited Brands and a founding member of the Victoria’s Secret store design team. In close cooperation with the company management, Hofmann defines and develops cutting-edge branding strategies, which are then translated into riveting, emotionally loaded flagship store concepts. Hofmann and his team were recently responsible for creating the Victoria’s Secret flagship stores in New York, Chicago, and Hawaii. Before that, Hofmann was design director at Victoria’s Secret Beauty and senior designer at Robert A.M.
Expansion of Cincinnati’s Duke Energy Center was designed to help position the convention center as a key venue for sought-after national and regional events. Part of the challenge was creating very large-scale, meaningful identification and placemaking graphics that would attract attention, unify the old and new parts of the building, and fit within a modest budget.
