Identity Group Welcomes Sam Richardson, CEO

Architectural signage and décor company, Identity Group (Nashville, Tenn.) recently announced the hire of Sam Richardson as the new President & CEO. Richardson replaces Brad Wolf after a solid five year run leading the business. Identity Group is a US leader in manufacturing commercial signs and visual décor for hospitality, lodging and grocery markets. Identity Group also boasts a healthy office products division with leading brands like Redi-Tag.

To show its support for Toronto Pride, a month-long Pride celebration that is among the largest in the world, longtime Pride sponsor Toronto-Dominion Bank wanted to install a large, circular rainbow graphic on the ground of the courtyard by its headquarters. TD Bank wanted the chosen graphic to be cost-effective, but it also needed a graphic that would be durable enough to withstand five weeks of heavy foot traffic and outdoor weather conditions.

Zoe Schlosser is a new student member to SEGD and a junior designer at Kate Keating Associates, Inc. (San Francisco) for the summer. She started at KKA in May, as an incoming senior currently studying Communication Design at the University of Cincinnati, DAAD. In her bio, she writes, "I have always been intrigued by the world of design and the ways I can learn to be a smarter and more effective designer."

Ideum (Corrales, N.M.) was part of the project team on the recently-opened Journey Through the Human Brain exhibition at the South Florida Science Center and Aquarium in West Palm Beach. The firm's creative services and media systems teams spent more than a year designing, developing and installing two of the exhibition's most immersive and technically sophisticated experiences. These two exhibits—"Deep Dive Into the Brain" and "Brain Development Wall"—were both designed for multiple simultaneous users.

The Ronald O. Perelman Performing Arts Center at the World Trade Center campus will be a dynamic global center for the creation and exchange of art, ideas and culture envisioned as a new kind of space that redefines cultural and social destinations in the heart of downtown Manhattan. Award-winning experiential graphic design firm Two Twelve (New York) is working on wayfinding for the center alongside the client and project teams, including the Perelman Center, Charcoalblue, Davis Brody Bond, REX Architecture and Sciame Construction, among others.
