2025 SEGD Academic Summit: Call for Papers
Are you shaping the future of experiential design? Share your groundbreaking research, curriculum innovation, or professional insights at the 2025 SEGD Academic Summit, a virtual gathering of thought leaders in experiential design to be held as a virtual event on June 17-18, 2024.
The 2025 SEGD Academic Summit provides the opportunity to convene global educators, students, researchers, and practitioners from the field of experiential design whose academic and professional research as well as curriculum innovation continue to impact and reshape the past, present and future advancement of the field. These practices include branded environments, digital experiences, exhibition, placemaking, public installation, strategy/research/planning, and wayfinding.
SEGD is seeking paper submissions of both academic or professional research and curriculum innovation that address the historical, educational, institutional, cultural, social, and technological issues relevant to the overarching discipline of experiential design through the context of past, present and future impact.
Submissions are due by no later than January 8, 2025. They should be in the form of an extended abstract and must meet the submission requirements found here. The SEGD Academic Task Force will perform an anonymous peer-review to select from the submissions, and authors will be invited to present their papers virtually at the SEGD Academic Summit on June 17-18, 2025.
Selected papers will also be published in SEGD’s online Academic Research journal Communication + Place. You can view previous issues of Communication + Place here.
