See You Next Week in Dallas!
We are only ONE WEEK away from the 2024 SEGD Conference Experience Dallas! We are looking forward to three inspirational days of interactive workshops, tours, networking opportunities, case studies, and programming from renowned speakers celebrating the evolution and challenges of experiential design.
Be sure to take advantage of all of our special programming throughout the event!
EXP Call for Mentors
SEGD’s EXP program offers a series of times throughout the conference where we gather together mentors and mentees, providing a dedicated space to enable open dialogue in a supportive professional environment.
We’re looking for members who are further along their professional journey, with a minimum of 5 years experience and learning, and who are willing to guide others by teaching, encouraging, and setting a good example. Can you offer good constructive and neutral feedback to interested members looking for support? Some things to keep in mind:
- Experience is important, as a professional, an educator, or as a mentor. Know what you can bring to the conversation and your areas of expertise
- Listen to issues, concerns, challenges or questions, and provide thoughtful, non-judgmental feedback and guidance based on your own personal and professional experience
- Support and act in a positive and responsive way through dialogue and feedback
- Provide ways to maintain the connection, either by swapping contact information, considering a follow-up, making introductions to a colleague or other member
- Understand that the mentee need, question or request may be one that can be best answered by another mentor or professional member – use the network
Please submit your interest and commitment to being a Mentor with the EXP Program before or during the SEGD Conference in Dallas by filling out our online Mentor Sign-Up Form.
EXP Programming
Sponsored by Kolar, Pentagram, RSM, and Tangram
The mission of the EXP Programming is to provide a space for young and/or transitioning designers into the field of Experiential Design to connect, be inspired, and have a voice within our global, multidisciplinary community.
As part of the Emerging Experiential Professionals (EXP) programming, there is an EXP Lounge to network with peers, Mentorship Meet Ups to learn from experienced professionals in the field, as well as an EXP Presentation and Lunch. If you are a student or new to the field, be sure to register here to participate in the EXP events at the conference and, if you haven’t already, select your Thursday tour. If you’ve already submitted your tour registration, simply skip the section at the top and mark your selection to join the EXP programming.
