D7 Summit Panel: SEGD’s CEO Joins A Historic Gathering in Kansas City for KC Design Week
We are thrilled to announce that Cybelle Jones, CEO of the Society for Experiential Graphic Design (SEGD), will be joining six of her peers in Kansas City for the inaugural D7 Summit, coinciding with Kansas City Design Week. This marks a significant milestone as Cybelle celebrates her fourth anniversary at the helm of SEGD next month. Her leadership has not only enhanced SEGD’s stature among peer organizations but also spotlighted the transformative power of our members’ contributions to experience design.
The D7 Summit, a historic first, brings together leaders from seven prestigious national design associations, including AIA, AIGA, APA, ASLA, IIDA, IDSA, and SEGD. Organized by the Center for Architecture & Design in collaboration with KC Global Design, this panel aims to foster unity and collaborative problem-solving among the design community’s top decision-makers.
Cybelle, alongside her colleagues, will engage in dialogue moderated by Anne Quito, a respected journalist and design critic. They will explore pressing topics such as climate action, equity in the design industry, and the broader impact of design on humanity. This discussion is not only a platform for these leaders to share insights but also an opportunity for attendees to engage directly with the figures shaping the future of design.
The D7 Summit is part of the larger D7 National Design CEO Retreat, an exclusive two-day event designed to address shared challenges and promote collective action within the design community.
