2026 SEGD Branded Environments brings the leaders shaping today’s most influential sports and entertainment environments to Los Angeles—designers, strategists, and makers who are defining how belief, loyalty, and identity are built in real life. Across two days, the event examines how physical space creates culture, activates fandom, and turns audiences into communities.
Event Overview
SEGD Branded Environments takes place March 18–19, 2026, convening the experience design community in Los Angeles for immersive tours and a one-day symposium focused on sports, entertainment, and fan experiences #IRL.
The event kicks off Wednesday, March 18, with curated, behind-the-scenes tours of branded environments in Los Angeles—offering access to places where the most powerful brands are activating fandom through spatial storytelling. The day concludes with a welcome happy hour, designed to spark conversation and connection among peers and leaders in the field.
On Thursday, March 19, SEGD hosts a full-day symposium in downtown Los Angeles, featuring a fast-paced, expert-led program driven by the designers and strategists behind today’s most compelling brand activations. Talks are concise and idea-forward, grounded in real work and lived experience, and focused on how environments build belief, loyalty, and shared cultural meaning. The symposium concludes with a closing gathering that brings the community together to reflect, connect, and look ahead.
Branded Environments has always been about convening the people who are actually shaping culture through space. In sports and entertainment especially, fans don’t need to be convinced—they already believe. What matters is how leaders translate that belief into physical experiences that feel authentic, emotional, and shared. That’s the conversation we’re bringing to Los Angeles.
Throughout the program, leaders shaping today’s most compelling sports and entertainment environments will examine how physical space deepens belief for audiences who already care. Rather than designing for first-time visitors, speakers explore how environments extend emotional connection, reinforce shared identity, and turn fandom into lived experience.
Conversations will focus on why emotion consistently outperforms explanation, and how designers translate shared history and future ambition into IRL experiences that build loyalty, trust, and cultural relevance—where belief is felt, not told.
