2024 SEGD Academic Summit: Call for Papers

SEGD is now accepting submissions for the 2024 SEGD Academic Summit, with the adjusted deadline for submissions set for April 4, 2024, at 11:59 pm ET.

SEGD is accepting extended paper abstract submissions for the 2024 SEGD Academic Summit, to be held as a virtual event on Wednesday, June 26, and Thursday, June 27, 2024. Submissions will now be accepted until April 4, 2024.

SEGD is seeking paper submissions of both academic or professional research and curriculum innovation that address the historical, educational, institutional, cultural, social, and technological issues relevant to the overarching discipline of Experiential Design (EXD) through the context of past, present and future impact.

Submitting an extended paper abstract is an incredible opportunity to have your work anonymously peer reviewed by SEGD’s Academic Task Force. If your paper is selected, it will be published in SEGD’s academic journal, Communication + Place, and you will have the opportunity to present your work at the 2024 SEGD Academic Summit. This is a great way to present your ideas to a large audience!

Submissions are due by no later than April 4, 2024. They should be in the form of an extended abstract and must meet the submission requirements. You can view work that has previously been published in SEGD’s online Academic Research journal Communication + Place, at the link below.

The 2024 SEGD Academic Summit provides the opportunity to convene global educators, students, researchers, and practitioners from the field of Experiential Design (EXD) whose academic and professional research as well as curriculum innovation continue to impact and reshape the past, present and future advancement of the EXD field. These practices include branded environments, digital experiences, exhibition, placemaking, public installation, strategy / research / planning, and wayfinding.
