Caroline Siavichay is a designer and storyteller based in New York City. Her work explores the intersection of art, design, education and culture. Her background is in performance art and she received a BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University. As a former performance artist, Caroline is passionate about audience connection and the way that storytelling creates bonds through highlighting our common humanity. Her most successful production was a performance piece she co-wrote and directed that won the Doric Wilson Award for Intercultural Dialogue from the International Dublin Gay Theatre Festival, was nominated for Amnesty International’s Freedom of Expression Award and was chosen as a Top 20 Pick for Feminist Fest at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. After leaving the performance world, she has now found her true passion and sense of purpose in creating experiences that are transportive and memorable, while still using her theatrical background to provide audiences with poetic moments. Caroline fully believes in the transformative power of exhibitions. She has studied Exhibition Design with the Node Center for Curatorial Studies and the Pratt Institute. She is currently enrolled in FIT’s graduate Exhibition and Experience Design program and looking forward to bringing her creativity and fresh skillsets into the professional setting. In her free time, Caroline enjoys reading all types of fiction, finding new recipes to cook and spending time with her incredible husband. She also enjoys writing her own stories when she can find a quiet moment! Connect with Caroline Siavichay on LinkedIn. View her website https://carolinesiavichay.squarespace.com/
