Students + Educators

Educate and inspire with SEGD’s resources for knowledge building and sharing. We offer conferences, workshops, webinars, and courses spanning a wide array of design practice areas, as well as publications including our academic journal Communication + Place, the SEGD Annual magazine, and our White Papers on topics from accessibility to sustainability. We actively collaborate with design programs at internationally recognized colleges and universities, developing course syllabi, curricula, and core competencies to prepare the next generation of designers of experiences.

SEGD’s signature educational event is the annual SEGD Academic Summit. Design educators, students, and professionals from around the world are invited to submit papers for presentation at the Summit and publication in SEGD’s peer-reviewed Communication + Place, which is published electronically on an annual basis. The Summit and e-publication are platforms for sharing research, creative work, models for innovation in curriculum, and best practices in experience design.
