Experiential Design in the Raleigh Region
Founded in 2017, the SEGD Raleigh Chapter is situated within North Carolina’s vibrant Triangle region, which includes Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill. Our members’ work is visible throughout the area, enhancing the community with diverse projects. These include expansive wayfinding systems at Raleigh-Durham International Airport and Research Triangle Park, placemaking at the Brightleaf District and the NCSU Basketball Facility, public installations such as the Ackland Museum in Chapel Hill, and bespoke digital experiences at the NCSU Innovation Studio. Together, these efforts highlight our members’ contributions to the region, enhancing both the functionality and well-being of public spaces.

SEGD Chapter Chair Awardees
SEGD recognizes award-winning people and projects who, through their commitment to human-centered, innovative design in the built environment, set standards of excellence for experience design. In 2022, the SEGD Chapter Chair award was bestowed on Liz Griswold, Allison Harris and Emma Wallace, the founding members of the SEGD Raleigh Chapter. The SEGD Chapter Chair award recognizes members who have demonstrated a commitment to SEGD through volunteer efforts that significantly contribute to the direction, growth, and excellence of the organization both regionally and internationally.
