Experiential Design in the Denver Region

Known as the Mile High City, Denver blends a vibrant urban culture with stunning natural surroundings, offering endless opportunities for creativity and innovation in experiential design. Our chapter is a dynamic community of designers, architects, and planners focused on projects that shape how people experience the city and its unique landscapes.

Key member projects include the RTD G-Line Windscreens, a series of intricately designed installations running along a 10-mile stretch of Denver’s G-Line rail system, celebrating the city’s history and community through storytelling and visual art​. The Learning to See exhibit at the Denver Botanic Gardens is another standout, using interactive installations to explore Colorado’s diverse ecosystems and their interconnectedness. Additionally, the Asian Tropics Exhibit at the Denver Zoo brings environmental conservation to the forefront, combining storytelling with cultural and natural history elements to educate visitors​.

SEGD Chapter Chair Awardees

SEGD recognizes award-winning people and projects who, through their dedication to human-centered, innovative design in the built environment, set standards of excellence for experience design. In 2020, the SEGD Chapter Chair Award was bestowed upon Zach Kotel, co-chair of the SEGD Denver Chapter, for his outstanding leadership and volunteer efforts. This award celebrates members who have significantly contributed to the growth and excellence of SEGD, both regionally and internationally.
