2016 SEGD Fellow and Excellence Award Winners Announced

SEATTLE– During the 2016 SEGD Conference Experience Seattle, winners of the 2016 SEGD Excellence Awards were announced and celebrated among the largest annual gathering of members of the experiential graphic design community. Since 1987, SEGD’s Excellence Awards have honored the individuals, companies, and institutions whose work has significantly advanced the environmental and/or experiential graphic design fields. The 2016 honorees and awards are as follows:

2016 SEGD Global Design Awards: Creative Experiential Designs that Communicate

John Lutz Leads Experiential Graphic Design Community

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Award-winning graphic designer John Lutz, partner in the Chicago office of Selbert Perkins Design, will lead the global community of experiential graphic designers as president of SEGD, the Society for Experiential Graphic Design.

Lutz leads a dynamic creative community galvanized by the rapid integration of digital technology and the impact of access to information in public spaces.

Jury Announced for 2016 SEGD Global Design Awards

Stephen Minning of BrandCulture (Sydney) leads a team of eight acclaimed multidisciplinary designers.

WASHINGTON, DC – Stephen Minning,founder and managing director of one of Australia’s leading design and brand studios, will serve as Chair of the 2016 SEGD Global Design Awards jury. He’ll lead a panel of eight other acclaimed designers representing a wide range of disciplines, from interactive experience design to architecture and wayfinding.

XLab 2015: Meet the Faces of Digital Disruption

NEW YORK –  Artists, hackers, coders, and entrepreneurs are transforming the ways we connect with each other in the digital and physical worlds and disrupting the very nature of experience design.
