Harbinger

Harbinger (Jacksonville, Fla.) has won a contract to fabricate and install double-faced LED-illuminated pylon signs for more than 600 7-Eleven convenience-store locations in the U.S. The firm will convert exterior signage to the 7-Eleven brand for the company’s newly acquired stores.

MERJE (West Chester, Pa.) is leading a team of multi-disciplined firms, including McCann Adams Studio, Gannett Fleming, Estilio Communications, and I.T. Gonzalez in the development of a Downtown Wayfinding Master Plan for downtown Austin, Texas. The plan considers all wayfinding tools, including technology, maps, signage, placemaking landmarks, streetscapes, and lighting. Currently in the design development phase, the project is scheduled for rollout in 2013.

Michael Courtney Design new identity for Andrews Landscape Architects

Michael Courtney Design (Seattle) designed the identity for Dave Andrews’ new firm Andrews Landscape Architects.  As the firm’s blog notes, “Landscape Architecture is a competitive professional field, with dozens of firms in our area. Studying their marketing communications, we saw most firms using a simple type treatment as a wordmark, or plant based images (trees, leaves, grasses) as part of a logo.

Lee Skolnick, FAIA, provided a tour of the DCHM and its innovative interactive exhibits.

Studio SC (Seattle) completed an environmental graphics and wayfinding program for Federal Center South, the Seattle District headquarters of the United States Army Corps of Engineers. A design/build project with Sellen Construction and ZGF Architects, the new building was dedicated on October 11.
