​​​​​​​Women’s History Month is here! and throughout March, SEGD will feature stories related to the accomplishments of women within the field of experiential graphic design.
First up is “Seat at the Table,” a re-posting of a recent article featuring Dome Collective’s award-winning exhibition of the same name. Located inside Philadelphia’s Kimmel Center and extended through March 31,  Seat at the Table celebrates the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment and asks the question “Where are we now?” Katie Lee and Lynn Kiang (Dome Collective, M/WBE) won the SEGD 2021 Sylvia Harris Award for their innovative design of this exhibition.

This past October, one week before the 2021 SEGD Conference Experience opened in Philadelphia, SEGD member firm Cloud Gehshan (Philadelphia) celebrated the culmination of a six-year-long project to design the wayfinding system for the new Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania Pavilion. The project represents a highly collaborative approach between designers, architects and clinicians resulting in a well-integrated and seamless design solution to a complex set of challenges.

A New Path to Travel: Cuomo Bridge Path

Located 25 miles north of Midtown Manhattan, the Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge connects two sides of the Hudson River across a 3.5-mile stretch of motorized freeway. More than just an Interstate route for vehicular traffic, the bridge also provides a Shared Use Path for joggers, hikers, and cyclists. SEGD member firms Exit Design and J2 enriched this new public amenity with a vibrant brand identity, a robust wayfinding system, and engaging interpretive elements.
