New York— At a meeting last week, SEGD's current Board of Directorscelebrated notable changes to the Board starting in 2017, including the departure of five board members, the addition of three new members and the transition of the office of Secretary/Treasurer.
It's a busy year for the profession and firm leaders are starting to act on new opportunities brought about by where we are in the economic cycle. SEGD is doing great and working on next steps to keep the momentum going on improving benefits for members.
Our profession has been humming along at an incredible growth rate for at least the past two years, with the sentiment that the momentum is still accelerating. Firms are betting big on developing new teams, employing new senior level leaders, developing digitally skilled teams and making capital investments. It's the day after conference and there is a steady flow of people from the taxi stand outside the Westin Seattle. We're all heading home. Some look a little worn out, but it does not appear that we took any casualties, despite some really good stories. Way to throw a family party, SEGD clan!
