2015 SEGD Global Design Awards- Where Digital and Physical Meet

WASHINGTON, DC – In a world increasingly enabled by digital technology, designers are continuing to experiment with ways to integrate electronic and traditional media. And experiential graphic designers in particular are learning how to use digital technology—not to replace physical environments—but to enhance users’ enjoyment of the “real” world with the immense content and data created in the virtual world.

Monarch Experience at The Cosmopolitan

Monarch is the latest experiential design concept unveiled by The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, extending the library of digital narratives for which it has already won numerous design awards, including the 2011 Cannes Grand Prix. The display platform for the installation is a unique and innovative combination of architecture and multimedia: eight massive floor-to-ceiling video columns in the Cosmopolitan lobby. The original content platform was designed by Rockwell Group's LAB.
