The SEGD Global Design Awards were launched in 1987 to demonstrate how design improves the quality of life for people everywhere by creating memorable experiences in places where we work, play, shop, travel and gather. The international design awards program is focused solely on Experiential Graphic Design and recognizes the world’s best examples of experiences designed to connect people to place.

Today, the SEGD Global Design Awards encompasses 7 categories that represent key practice areas of Experiential Graphic Design:

2017 SEGD Design Awards Jury

Paul McConnell of Intersection (New York) heads the acclaimed multidisciplinary design task force.

WASHINGTON, DC—Paul McConnell,Design Director at Intersection (New York), a technology, experience design and innovation firm, will serve as Jury Chair for the 2017 SEGD Global Design Awards. He leads a team of eight celebrated designers practicing in a range of disciplines from wayfinding to interactive experiences.

Christina Lyons

Christina Lyons is a member of the 2021 SEGD Board and has served on the SEGD Board since 2016, representing education. She is Professor and Chairperson of Graduate Exhibition & Experience Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology/SUNY in New York.

Previously, Christina was the Director of the Graphics Department at Lee H. Skolnick Architecture + Design Partnership, working on projects such as the Muzeiko: Children’s Museum in Sofia, Bulgaria.
