The branding and design agency won two awards at the ICX Association Elevate Awards for their work with adidas Golf and Cable & Wireless Communications’ telecoms brand FLOW.
A Bronze at the LAUS awards went to Urbanite (part of the Frost* collective brand) for their design of signage, wayfinding, graphics and placemaking elements for Westpac's new 28-floor headquarters. Urbanite’s sophisticated design added to the space by creating large, innovative and mindful pieces of branded storytelling to increase staff engagement and allow the brand to resonate with subtlety.
MNP Tower is an architectural landmark located in the business core of Vancouver’s harbour district. The tower is celebrated for its clear waterfront views and striking crest-like form; Entro designed a sleek, pared-down wayfinding program to match this modern structure.
Located in The Bridge building’s main entrance lobby of the Science Commons, a new donor recognition wall features vertical panels that align with the wooden slats of a 16-foot-long wall and display individual donor names.
The firm based the visual approach on cues taken from the designs of engraved historical bank notes and medical illustrations, places in which the themes of financing, health and medicine happened to overlap perfectly.
Beginning with the bleachers, Younts Design created pageantry, wayfinding, concessions and sponsorship signage—including a replica of the outfield ivy wall for photo ops and historic Otis Shepard hand-painted graphics.
It is hard to believe, but we are already in the fourth year of modernizing SEGD, upgrading the membership benefits and still making steady progress with our performance indicators—which are pointing in the right direction. Who said this would be a quick fix?
I’m looking forward to continuing with the vision and initiatives that were put in place by Jill Ayers, our incredibly talented past president, including growing our organization to an all-time high of 1,795 members in 2015 and growing our student membership by 22%!
I can’t believe two years have flown by. I write this note as I exit my presidency and welcome in 2016. I am incredibly grateful for this experience and for all of the amazing people I was able to meet and collaborate with. Through the generous support of our sponsors, partners and members, SEGD continues to be the authority for the world of Experiential Graphic Design.
