Allan Haley is Director of Words & Letters for Monotype, the global typeface designer and provider. He’ll be a featured speaker at SEGD’s Exhibition & Experience Design WorkshopAugust 21-22 in Washington, D.C.

Today, exhibition design is a convergent discipline that borrows elements from retail store design, interpretive wayfinding, storytelling, media, and interaction design. When the rapidly expanding firm secured 125,000 square feet in Minneapolis’s historic Ford Center building, they asked Gensler’s Brand Design team to focus on connections central to the firm’s philosophies and success. They also wanted the building’s industrial character to shine through.
