Watchfire Digital Outdoor (Danville, Ill.) manufactured the first digital billboard in Grand Junction, Colo.; the 10 ft. by 30 ft, 19mm digital billboard replaces a static billboard. Watchfire digital billboards use Ignite® Online to easily create complex advertising schedules, including dayparting, multiple ads per advertiser, time/temp and counters. The fact that Ignite Online is web-based makes it easy for operators to manage their Watchfire board from anywhere.

Alchemy Studio

Alchemy Studio (Maplewood, N.J.) began work with the Municipality of Kayseri in central Turkey on the planned Kayseri Science Center, specifically on the master planning and building programming. The Kayseri team is a partnership between the TUBITAK, the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey, and Kayseri Municipality, all working to bring the first science center to this part of the country. The building is being designed by the Istanbul-based Untitled Studio.

Programs Plus is an interactive corporate identity system that offers users direct access to critical product specifications. Programs Plus enables designers, fabricators, and owners to determine what solution will work best for their corporate identity project, right from their mobile device.

Calori & Vanden-Eynden Design Consultants (New York) designed a signage and graphics program for the expansion and renovation of the community library in the town of Mamaroneck, N.Y. Designed by BKSK Architects, the library expansion combines traditional materials with contemporary design. The signage and graphics follow suit, and include exterior identity signs, room and office signs, floor directories, stacks signage, and donor recognition signs.

GKD-USA - Working on Some of the Most Progressive Educational Facilities

GKD-USA (Cambridge, Md.) is working on some of the world’s most progressive educational environments, including Florida International University Century Bank Arena (Miami), University of Florida Research and Academic Center at Lake Nona (Orlando, Fla.), and Piper High School (Kansas City, Kan.), where the school’s pirate mascot was etched onto 520 sq. ft. of metal fabric.

The Ultimate CEO program honors chief executives who have had significant accomplishments in the past year. Williams, who has headed the 50-year-old sign company for the past four decades, was recognized for his work developing and patenting the sign industry’s first-ever LED Retrofit Kit, which led to significant growth for Harbinger.
