Studio SC

Studio SC (Seattle) was selected by the Washington State Convention Center and ZGF Architects to create a new exterior identification signage program for the complex located in Seattle’s retail core. Studio SC is also working with LMN Architects and Talon Capital to rebrand three commercial office buildings in downtown Seattle with new environmental graphic identity programs.

Unified Field - National Geographic Museum

Unified Field (New York) created an interactive floor model for the National Geographic Museum’s Titanic: 100 Year Obsession exhibit. The exhibit was featured on ABC news. Unified Field created the interactive floor using photographs of the Titanic from various viewpoints, essentially creating a 3D virtual model of the ship. Overlaying images is a 3D water effect that allows visitors to walk through the ship and view everything from the top deck all the way down to the lower parts of the ship.

Accubraille (San Francisco) was recently contracted to provide all the signage for a 754- unit luxury apartment building in San Francisco’s trendy SOMA neighborhood. The illuminated unit signs include a brushed-nickel laminate faceplate with cut-out unit numbers and an ADA-compliant element featuring AccuBraille’s Infused product with DuPlex font. The DuPlex line meets the recently updated ADA guidelines while allowing for additional design freedom.

Brandculture - Australian Human Rights Commission

Brandculture Communications (Sydney) used dramatic typography to brand the new offices of the Australian Human Rights Commission. The design includes text from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The wayfinding program references famous Australian human rights activists. Room numbers were integrated into the typographic designs on the entry doors for each room. Utility rooms were identified using typography applied to the end sections of door entries so they could be seen from down the corridor.


Harbinger (Jacksonville, Fla.) added three new members to its team. Paul Charles, project manager, is a graduate of the University of North Florida who brings more than 15 years of experience in sales and account managing. When he is not at Harbinger, Paul is busy running his own custom surfboard company. Erin Hall, 7-Eleven Project Coordinator, will contribute her skills in a wide range of services, from accounts receivable to database administration to graphic design.

Matthews Paint Introduced Super Satin Clearcoat

Matthews Paint (Pittsburgh) introduced Super Satin Clearcoat, a low-VOC acrylic polyurethane clear coat designed for topcoat applications to protect color on painted signage and vinyl graphics or to highlight architectural metals. With a 10-year life expectancy, the new clearcoat is UV resistant, lengthens application life, reduces maintenance costs, and protects against weathering, says Matthews.

Pentagram's Latest Partner Natasha Jen

Pentagram (New York) welcomed Natasha Jen as a new partner in its New York office. Jen’s work crosses genres and includes the design of brand identities, environmental graphics, multi-scale exhibitions, signage systems, and print, motion, and interactive graphics. Prior to joining Pentagram, Natasha was a designer and art director at firms including Base Design, 2x4, and Stone Yamashita Partners, and established her own studio, Njenworks. She also has the distinction of being Pentagram's first former intern to return as partner.
