People Powered

Merit Award
People Powered, Kimberly Viviano, School of the Art Institute of Chicago

America consumes nearly 20 million barrels of oil a day, more than four times that of any other nation. People Powered is an idea that offers the average Chicagoan an opportunity to help his or her nation become less dependent on fossil fuels. The project uses graphics to compare parallel transit modes, highlighting human and environmental benefits.

Team America

Team America, Paramount Pictures, Rockwell Group

Matt Stone and Trey Parker, the wits who created South Park, tapped Rockwell Group to collaborate on the art direction for their new film, Team America. Rockwell Group led the production team in the creation of the film's unique and unexpected visual language. Simplified views of the cities and settings reflect the myopic viewpoint that Team America has as the World Police force.
