Lisa Congdon (Founder & CEO of Lisa Congdon Fine Art) is an internationally known fine artist, illustrator and writer based in Portland, Oregon. In her work, Lisa makes art for clients across  the globe, including Target, Amazon, Google, Warby Parker, Method, Comme des Garcons, REI and MoMA. She has also authored ten books, including Art Inc: The Essential Guide to Building Your Career as an Artist and Find your Artistic Voice: The Essential Guide to Working Your Creative Magic.

Lisa is self-taught, and her artistic career achieved momentum when she was in her late 30s. Yet despite Lisa’s  untraditional path, she today is recognized as a leader in the industry for her work in social justice, knowledge sharing, mentoring and teaching. In March of 2021, she was named by Adweek as “One of the 50 Most Inspiring People and Companies According to Industry Creatives.”

Lisa shares much of her professional knowledge—and life knowledge—on her podcast The Lisa Congdon Sessions. She is also co-founder (along with fellow artist and writer, Emily McDowell) of The Long Table Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to providing “professional mentoring and grants for Black, Indigenous, Latinx, and Asian artists & creative entrepreneurs.”

On a recent podcast episode, Lisa was asked “What inspires you?” She replied, “Travel is really, truly the thing that inspires me the most and has inspired so much of my work.”
