SEGD Launches Professional Development Bootcamps at ISA Sign Expo 2026

SEGD debuts certificate-based Professional Development Bootcamps at ISA Sign Expo 2026, April 7-10, beginning with an interactive Accessible Design Bootcamp. Focused on signage compliance, ICC A117.1 updates, and hands-on learning, the program equips designers and fabricators with practical, standards-driven expertise.

After hearing clearly from our members that professional development and meaningful credentials matter more than ever, SEGD is launching its new Bootcamps—intensive, certificate-based programs designed to elevate practice and expand expertise.

These premier programs debut at ISA Sign Expo 2026 in Orlando. While ISA Sign Expo has long been a destination for fabrication innovation and industry connection, this year SEGD is adding something new: hands-on, standards-driven professional certification workshops for designers and fabricators alike.

Accessible Design Bootcamp

Tuesday, April 7, 2026
1:00 pm – 5:00 pm (Check-in at 12:30 pm)

This half-day, intensive workshop is structured as a certificate-based professional development program focused on accessibility and code compliance in wayfinding, experiential design, and signage design.

Participants who complete the full session will receive a Certificate of Completion from SEGD, recognizing advanced training in accessible signage design and regulatory best practices. SEGD membership is not required to attend.

What Participants will Learn

This program is ideal for experiential designers and fabricators who want to deepen their expertise across:

  • Accessibility requirements in sign systems
  • Tactile signage standards
  • Visual character legibility and low-vision design
  • Best practices in user-centered compliance
  • Key insights into the upcoming 2025 ICC A117.1 standards update

Rather than a lecture-style seminar, this is a structured, interactive learning lab.

Three Intensive Learning Tracks

Participants rotate in small groups through three applied learning studios, ensuring every attendee engages deeply with each focus area.
