Intercontinental Conversations in Placemaking: 2022 SEGD Wayfinding and Placemaking

Read Time: 3 Minutes

Join us for a deep dive into the philosophy, process and passion that guides the best creative minds working in our field of Wayfinding + Placemaking.

Next month, SEGD hosts its annual Wayfinding + Placemaking Symposium, bringing together innovators and award-winning experiential designers from across the globe who create meaningful experiences which connect people to place. This year’s event, scheduled for August 3-4, takes place virtually, making it even easier for members to attend and converse with their global colleagues. New this year, in-person gatherings and tours will be exclusively held in Los Angeles, California, and London, England.

The 2022 SEGD Wayfinding + Placemaking Symposium (August 3-4) promises to bring an intercontinental perspective to experiential graphic design. At this virtual event, presenters from the USA to Australia and from the UK to the Netherlands will reflect on design through a dynamic cultural lens. They promise to promote a variety of projects including co-creation of a destination community hub, a welcome center for a local food bank, and the London-based Crossrail Elizabeth Line extension.

The following expands on what to expect at  2022 Wayfinding + Placemaking — including the symposium’s sessions, participants and the subjects of their presentations.

Enjoy! (and register TODAY!)
