In two weeks, you have the opportunity to release your year long FOMO and get out and see some of the most exciting new and acclaimed recent museum exhibitions in the Washington DC area. These exclusive behind-the-scenes experiences are our first in-person SEGD national tours in since 2019! Sign up to get an insiders view and connect with the designers, clients and creators of these world-class exhibitions. It’s worth the trip for a day of reconnecting with your long lost peers and to meet new members of the DMV experience design community!
You have your choice of visiting one or two “must see” exhibits on Wednesday August 4th, 2021. Each provides insights into the latest trends, topics from leaders in the experiential design field.
Check out the venues, we have curated for you:
- International Spy Museum (sponsored by Kubik Maltbie), tour starts at 8:45am led by Spy Team, VP of Exhibitions, VP of Operations, Exhibition/Media Team Gallagher & Associates and Media Developer, Cortina Productions
- National Museum of the United States Army (sponsored by Urban Sign), tour starts at 1:30pm, led by Chief Curator and fabricator Design and Productions
- Planet Word tours at 10:00am and 2:00pm, led by Planet Word Senior PM, Exhibition/Media Team, Local Projects and fabricator Solomon Group
- Girlhood (It’s Complicated), National Museum of American History, tour starts at 2:30pm led by SI NMAH Chief of Design and Exhibition Team, Howard Revis
And afterwards, it wouldn’t be an SEGD event without the opportunity to network and interface with members of our warm and talented community. The museum tours end with an in-person DC Chapter happy hour reception.
