Đurđevački pijesci (Sands of Đurđevac)
Multimedia visitor Centre is presenting uniqueness of the desert landscape and its richness of flora and fauna Đurđevački pijesci (“Sands of Đurđevac”). It is protected botanical area with remains of sand dunes which are not common in Croatia. The exhibition is focused on 9 themes, each theme in one room with a total of 33 multimedia exhibits on 550 m2.
Project Vision
Inspired by sand particles, visual identity is designed to present the richness of micro forms that naked eye could never experience. These particles form the symbol, the letter “Đ” which is the initial letter but also unusual letter in other languages. It’s very specific and often used in local language. Simplified silhouettes of sand particles are also very flexible and attractive to use in exhibition graphics, signage and every part of visual identity. Logo “Đ” can be transformed into any required shape or illustration in same visual code. Every exhibition theme was also accompanied by subtle illustrations inspired by creatures from old local stories.
