Dashahe sports and Cultural Center adopts the “fold” design concept, using methods such as compression and elevation to create a continuous architectural form both inside and out. This approach not only softens the rigid feel of the architecture but also generates flexible spaces and introduces a traffic flow distinct from traditional designs.

The Challenge
In such an environment, a standardized signage system is insufficient to meet the varied demands. Each spatial node has unique conditions, requiring the signage system to have a high degree of adaptability in its information combination.
Project Vision
The signage design draws inspiration from the undulating form of the surrounding Tanglang Mountain, continuing the layered imagery of mountains and water. This results in a light and elegant form that echoes the architectural language. The “arrow” in the signage is presented as a cut and folded feature from the wall, maintaining the simplicity and high readability of the textual information while allowing the arrow’s form to coexist harmoniously with the rounded curves in the space, creating an elegant dialogue with the overall environment.
This restrained yet elegant expression respects the language of the space while offering delightful surprises in its details. The visual simplicity masks the high level of craftsmanship required, as well as the complex coordination between design and construction.

Unlike conventional “factory processing—on-site installation” processes, this signage system was involved early in the project, working closely with the construction team. We pre-installed power supplies, templates, and mounting components, ensuring that the signage system integrates seamlessly with the walls and coatings in its final presentation, truly realizing the design’s original intent.
With a unified design language, we compose a dynamic and graceful spatial symphony. Every visitor can experience the unique aesthetics of the space, enjoying a more comfortable and convenient environment.
The use of prefabricated modular methods reduces the difficulty of integration with other specialized engineering work.
