Bowie State University Signage & Wayfinding
Celebrating Campus Spirit, Bowie State University’s recent brand refresh embodied its institution’s vibrant student body, but like many brands, didn’t encompass environmental graphic design and signage. Established in 1865, the campus was a collection of years of inconsistent and nondescript identification.
Project Overview
The family of signs is an embodiment of the University’s character and vitality, as Maryland’s oldest Historically Black University. Through a series of listening sessions, the strong and engaged student body helped knit their bold brand across campus, in the form of identification, orientation and directional signage.
