Tristan Valencia, Principal and Founder of studio black comes to the industry from decades of live production experience.
Having began his career on the west coast with firms involved with the live broadcast of the Oscars, Emmys, BET & MTV Awards, numerous live events as well as installations across the country and the globe, he has become a leader in producing permanent, interactive, digital installations. Tristan Valencia has built his own firm, drawing upon his years of extensive networking of domestic and international resources perfectly blended with his innate ability for effectively and successfully addressing the objectives of his clients. Those clients include Fortune 100 companies, architecture, construction and planning firms as well as agencies and brands looking to tap into the latest, most effective, impressive and emotionally resonating ways to deliver digital, environmental experiences to their customers and their own internal communities. Tristan is a master at building the right team, specifically tailored to each project with an equal focus given to the life-cycle of the installation. Tristan has crafted the offerings at studio black to meet the ever-growing need for a tailored approach to complex permanent & temporary installations.
Tristan Valencia’s previous experiences includes his creation and leadership of Pura Vida Productions, now Estudio Pura Vida as Principal for over twenty years, leading the expansion of SenovvA, Inc. to the East Coast, Account Executive at Concept Design Productions and Project Manager at Multimedia Presentation Group (MPG). Tristan studied at California State University, Northridge where he received a BA in Music Industry Studies with a Minor in Central American Studies.
When he’s not crafting the next immersive environment, you can find him on various boats out fishing in the Atlantic.
