A partner at MJMA, Tim leads the studio’s experiential design, wayfinding, and visual communications on each project to enhance the firm’s placemaking approach, leveraging elements of visual interest to compliment and strengthen the architectural expression. Working closely with MJMA design directors, Tim leverages the synergy between architecture, graphics, interior design and landscape disciplines of the firm. Most recently, Tim has been leading MJMA’s community engagement, actively involving the public in the design process to inform a user driven result. A strong advocate, he promotes enhanced levels of design for accessibility and inclusivity. He is a member of a Wayfinding and Signage Technical Committee part of Accessibility Standards Canada – working towards updating Federal accessibility standards within the built environment.
Many of his graphic-focused projects have been recipients of design excellence awards including SEGD (Society for Experiential Graphic Design) Global Design Awards, Toronto Design Exchange Awards for Visual Communication and Brand Identity, Toronto Urban Design Awards, Canadian Interiors Awards, ARIDO (Association of Registered Interior Designers of Ontario) Specialty Elements Awards, and the Art and Works Award at the World Architecture Festival in Barcelona. Tim has led the design for experiential design programs for many Municipalities and College and University campuses across Canada, the U.S. and in New Zealand.
