Thomas Mason is a museum design director with over 15 years of international experience creating narrative-driven exhibitions for cultural, civic, and science institutions. He is currently a Physical Design Director at Ralph Appelbaum Associates, where he leads multidisciplinary teams in translating complex content into spatial, material, and experiential form.

Thomas has worked across the U.S., Europe, and the Middle East, contributing to projects ranging from presidential libraries and national collections to large-scale science and innovation museums. His portfolio includes The People’s House: A White House Experience, the Library of Congress, the Walmart Museum, and the Ilmi Science and Innovation Museum. His work has been recognized at the highest levels of the design community and national press for its clarity, craft, and storytelling impact.

Trained in architectural and interior design, Thomas brings a strong grounding in spatial thinking, detailing, and fabrication alongside deep experience in exhibition planning, budgets, and cross-functional coordination.
