I create engaging, content-rich places that encourage people to think and interact. As a design strategist, I help businesses, developers, and architects bridge the gap between left- and right-brain thinking to delight audiences, strengthen brands, and get people talking.
The child of an architect and a quilter, I grew up understanding the relationship between art and science, and witnessing how design ideas can interact across two- and three-dimensional applications. These early experiences shaped my interest in fostering meaningful human engagement across paper, pixels, and places.
I have an extensive background in the fields of publishing, corporate communication, identity development, experiential design, and wayfinding for complex environments. I build long-term client and colleague relationships by focusing on responsive service and an open, collaborative process. I am driven by design that builds relationships, creates clarity, and makes places easier to navigate and enjoy.
I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in visual communication from the University of Kansas. Prior to joining Asterisk Group as a principal, I was Director of Design at fd2s in Austin, and a designer at BRD in Los Angeles and VSA Partners and Ligature, Inc. in Chicago. I presented a collection of Asterisk Group’s work at the 2019 Society for Experiential Design Global Design Conference in Austin and shared our work for Oracle at the 2019 CoreNet Global Conference in Anaheim.
