After getting my master’s degree in museum studies, I became an exhibition designer in an art gallery translating curatorial research into storied spaces. I quickly found myself asking questions about who these spaces were built for and developed a more human-centered approach to design. Despite some career twists and turns, I always find myself drawn back to environmental design because the emphasis on empathy for the unique ways people engage with the built environment.
Ask me about
Ask me what I’m learning. I always enjoy peeling back the layers to see “how it’s made” and how I can be making more informed design decisions in my projects.
My super power is
Mental map making– I don’t get lost very often!
I'm looking for
I’m looking for opportunities to listen to conversations influencing the EGD space and connect with other professionals.
Best piece of advice I've ever heard
Nothing is forever, we are just here. It reminds me that we do the best with the information we have, we make the best thing we can and we acknowledge that the best solution later might be different from the one we chose first.
Where I find Inspiration
I find inspiration by enjoying new spaces and traffic patterns that show me see how other designers are solving some of the pain points of how we engage with our environments.
