Ranulfo Ponce, “Ponce”, is a Senior Designer at fd2s in Austin, Texas. With more than 20 years of experience as a experiential graphic designer and a demonstrated history of working in the design industry, Ponce has well developed skills in Information Design, Graphics Design, Wayfinding & Signage, Branding & Identity, Web Design and related fields.
Ranulfo Ponce is knowledgeable about regulatory issues associated with signage in cities throughout the country. His project involvement spans project management, concept development, research, planning, design, specification, documentation and implementation of robust signage and wayfinding programs for hospitals, university campuses, transportation facilities, corporate headquarters, and retail and mixed-use developments across the country and around the world.
Thought his career he has achieved relative expertise in signage materials and fabrication/installation methods, the latest CAD technology, as well as tools for creating realistic mock-ups and renderings. He is also a software developer who provides electronic tools for personal use, for the staff and colleagues. As an extension to his expertise, he continuously evaluates existing and new software to find and provide efficiencies in our industry and work processes.
Ranulfo Ponce’s work at fd2s has included the design and documentation of signage systems and other environmental enhancements for a broad range of retail, healthcare, and civic projects, including recent work for the UCHealth Colorado; the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Medical Center; St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Regional Health Center in Mt. Vernon, IL; St. David’s Medical Center, as well as the Seventh, Atlanta Regional Unified Bus Stop Program, and Second Street Districts in Austin and wayfinding master plans for the Texas cities of Wichita Falls and Bastrop.
