Nikki San Miguel is currently a principal at Clearstory in San Francisco.
She draws on her intuitive understanding of how people navigate their environments to create clear and consistent wayfinding systems. Her prodigious memory allows her to catalog and reference all the details of a project, keeping teams on track and projects running smoothly. A steadfast persistence helps her thrive in the dynamic environment of large and complex projects.
Nikki is a technophile who eagerly builds new tools and devises ways to use technology to improve processes and products. With a diverse background spent living in multiple countries, she is inspired by the distinct qualities of each project’s setting.
Her notable projects include Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford, Sutter Health CPMC Van Ness Campus Hospital, Salesforce Tower Ohana Floors, and Palace of the Fine Arts.
Nikki attended The Ohio State University, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Visual Communication Design with a Minor in Business. In her senior year, she was exposed to the world of EGD through an environmental graphic design internship with Design Collective Incorporated. She joined Kate Keating Associates (now Clearstory) in 2008 and rapidly emerged as a talented leader, communicator and problem-solver.
