My name is Najela Shamah, the owner and creative director of Cake®.
Based in Seattle, Washington, I’ve worked with clientele all over the west coast of the U.S. I have enjoyed collaborating with companies providing creative direction that creates lasting impact and positive awareness.
My career in Architecture took a pivot in 2010, when I met my first brand project, a sweet cakes catering concept. And so, Cake® was born – a brand and marketing agency.
With almost two decade of diverse creative experience, I offer a unique blend of design and marketing, specializing in visual narratives and marketing strategies for businesses to stand out in the real world as well as the digital universe.

Pivoting.
I'm looking for
A place to sow roots, a place to host my tribe. Also professional progression and up to date insights on experiential interior and architecture.
What I love about experience design
Visual communication and graphic design can expand above what we think of as general language or spoken language. As designers, we get to visually speak to each other in creative and new languages – communicating past our native tongues or event checking into a language that we may have shared in our past.
Best piece of advice I've ever heard
Rewrite your inner narrative. I continuously work on this.
